один из параметров визуального контента (visual content) изображения, который используется при автоматическом поиске изображений (фотографий) в БД (см. QBIC). Отображает доли площади, занимаемые различными цветами в изображении; служит для поиска изображений с близким набором цветов. Например, у сельского пейзажа будет гистограмма цветов, где часто встречаются синий, зелёный и серый
